Professor Andrew Teodorczuk MD MBChB BSc (Hons) DipClinEd FRCPsych FRANZCP PFHEA
Andrew Teodorczuk is a Professor of Medical Education at Griffith University, Gold Coast, Australia where he works as Deputy Head of the School of Medicine (LT). He also practices as a Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist at The Prince Charles Hospital, Metro North, Brisbane, Australia. Originally he graduated from Edinburgh University and previously worked as a Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist and Senior Lecturer till 2016 in Newcastle, England His research expertise is in educational approaches to best delirium practice.
He has a keen interest in interprofessional education, work based learning and staff wellbeing and regularly translates understandings from the education field to drive innovative pedagogical approaches in clinical workplaces. His research spans University, community and inpatient settings. Andrew Teodorczuk has a well-established track record with 78 peer reviewed publications and has received numerous awards in recognition of his teaching and research including the prestigious Principal Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. He has delivered nearly 100 invited presentations at local, national and international conference. Since 2019 he has been an associate editor of Age and Ageing.
He is also a member of the Australasian Delirium Association and chair of the organising committee ADA 2021 DECLARED Congress, Brisbane.
