Sinead Grennan is CEO of Engaging Dementia, a training and resource organisation focused on communication, engagement and connection for people with dementia and their families. Sinead is also an Assistant Psychologist, who has co-facilitated Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) sessions with people with dementia for the past year. Through her work with Engaging Dementia, Sinead has delivered training in the Sonas programme and worked with a wide range of health and social care professionals and family carers. Sinead piloted the first Alzheimer Cafe in Ireland in 2011, and is currently co-ordinating the establishment of an Irish Dementia Cafe Network, a project which was commissioned by the Health Service Executive’s National Dementia Office.
